Season Updates...

Lots of changes are coming to the Sunman-Dearborn Area Soccer Association. Some of these changes are due to Covid-19 while others are due to new Federal and State guidelines. More information will be coming in the next few weeks.

Our first topic we would like to discuss this week is regarding sponsors and donations. Each year we are challenged with increasing costs. Insurance, equipment, uniforms, concessions, port-a-potty fees, website fees, field paint, gas and other miscellaneous expenses add up. Since our existence we have been known for our affordable registration fees when compared to other youth sports. We strive to keep costs low but can't do so without sponsorships and other donations. If you own a business or know anyone who owns a business, please help us. Our donation form can be found here. Any and all donations are welcome and appreciated.

Our second topic this week is regarding new Risk Management guidelines.

All persons that are coaching and/or will be working around children that are not their own are required to register, complete background checks, complete CDC Heads Up concussion awareness training, and Complete Federal Safe Sport training.

All Parents and players must complete CDC Heads Up concussion awareness training.

This training can be time consuming but is required before we can even begin practicing. In order to get ahead of this we ask that each of our parents/guardians/coaches/volunteers/and referees complete our initial "Adult Registration Form". This form can be found here. In the coming weeks, after completing this form, you will be receiving an email from us and/or GotSoccer with a link to complete the required training and background check if required. Please complete these tasks as promptly as possible.

Lastly for this week we would just like to thank you for being patient with us. We know you and your kids are probably ready to get out of the house. We are working on making this season as safe as possible for everyone. We are working closely with Indiana Soccer, Sunman-Dearborn School Corporation and with local officials. We will share what we learn and what decisions are made as soon as we can.
